Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company Limited (Chola), incorporated in 1978 as the financial services arm of the Murugappa Group. Chola commenced business as an equipment financing company and has today emerged as a comprehensive financial services provider offering vehicle finance, home loans, loan against property, SME loans, Secured Business Personal Loans (SBPL), Consumer & Small Enterprises Loans (CSEL) and a variety of other financial services to customers. Chola operates from 1309 branches across India with assets under management above INR 1,41,143 Crore.

Our Challenge

The existing facilities at Mahesh Foundation are unable to meet the demand for quality education among underprivileged children. Overcrowded classrooms, and lack of facilities to accommodate 2000 children, pose significant challenges to the foundation's mission of providing accessible and high-quality education. With still more children out of education, the need for a new school building has become imperative to ensure that every child receives the education they deserve. The lack of adequate space and resources not only affects the quality of education but also limits the foundation's capacity to reach out to more children in need.

To bring about a significant transformation in the lives of these children, we are proposing the construction of a modern, functional, and sustainable school building that can accommodate 2,000 underprivileged students. Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company Limited (Chola) has partnered with Mahesh Foundation to support the construction of one of the classrooms. Beyond the basic infrastructure, we have made sure to equip each classroom with essential amenities, such as desks, chairs, blackboards, audiovisual equipment, and educational materials, to create a conducive learning environment.

Our Challenge

At Utkarsha School, we strive to equip children with digital education that opens doors to learning and growth. As student enrolment continues to rise, access to computers and digital resources has become increasingly limited. Many children, despite their enthusiasm to learn, are unable to fully benefit from digital education due to inadequate infrastructure. To ensure that every child receives equal opportunities to learn, explore, and prepare for the future, there is a pressing need to strengthen and expand our digital learning facilities, including computers, digital libraries, and interactive educational tools.

Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Co. Ltd. has generously partnered with Mahesh Foundation to establish a new computer classroom at our school. This modern learning space will be equipped with updated computers and digital tools, creating an encouraging environment where children can develop essential digital skills. The classroom will enable hundreds of students to engage in technology-driven learning, build confidence, and broaden their aspirations. More than just a facility, this initiative will nurture curiosity, teamwork, and creativity, empowering children with the skills and knowledge needed to shape a brighter and more secure future.
