Education Support to Underprivileged Children

Our Challenge

HIV-positive and underprivileged children face significant barriers to education, including inadequate financial resources, lack of access to schools, and limited support systems. These challenges contribute to high dropout rates and limited educational attainment among this vulnerable population. As they are unable to afford education, we started the school to ensure education as a service and made it completely free at Utkarsha. Mahesh Foundation has its own premises and all the infrastructure facility as well as good learning environment for the children. We seek support in providing education to these children.

With the support of Brother International India Pvt. Ltd., we started an an Education Support Program that provides comprehensive support to HIV-positive and underprivileged children. This program will cover the costs of education, including school fees, uniforms, textbooks, and transportation. Additionally, the Mahesh Foundation will enhance the educational infrastructure, provide access to learning resources, and offer mentoring and counseling services to ensure the overall well-being of the children. We will also organize workshops and extracurricular activities to help children develop essential life skills, including communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving.

Our Challenge

Children affected by HIV and those from marginalized backgrounds often encounter overwhelming obstacles in accessing education. Financial hardship, social stigma, and lack of supportive learning environments force many of them to abandon schooling altogether. Recognizing this urgent need, Mahesh Foundation's Utkarsha, a free school committed to delivering quality education to these vulnerable children. With a dedicated campus, well-developed infrastructure, and a nurturing atmosphere, we have created a safe space where every child can learn, grow, and aspire for a better future, ensuring that no child is denied their right to education due to circumstances beyond their control.

With the generous support of Brother International India Pvt. Ltd., Mahesh Foundation has extended its Education Support Program to benefit 375 HIV-positive and underprivileged children. Through this initiative, we are able to fully cover educational expenses including school fees, uniforms, textbooks, and transportation. Beyond financial assistance, the program also focuses on strengthening the learning environment—enhancing infrastructure, providing access to academic resources, and offering mentoring and counseling services to support the holistic development of each child. To further enrich their growth, we conduct workshops and extracurricular activities aimed at building vital life skills such as communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
